Montana Child Welfare Training Partnership
The Center collaborates with the Montana Child and Family Services Division (CFSD) to provide students with financial support and a path to employment through the Montana Child Welfare Training Partnership. Stipends are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students interested in experience working in public child welfare after graduation
Students are trained to understand the needs of high-risk children and their families, and develop skills to ensure that the needs of those families are adequately addressed. The knowledge and skills gained from this program create well-trained professionals, able to assume the professional roles and responsibilities required of a social worker.
Key elements of the Center's commitment to students include:
- Advanced training and preparation
- Financial support
- Employment obligation
- Career development and support through a practicum experience
