The Bystander Workshop builds on foundational bystander intervention skills by reviewing and applying the 5 D’s—Direct, Distract, Delegate, Delay, and Document. Participants will engage in discussions and scenarios to explore how each strategy can be used effectively in real-life situations. This workshop empowers students to recognize their role in creating a community of respect and safety.
-
The Healthy Relationships Workshop helps students explore the differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships by identifying key characteristics of trust, respect, communication, and boundaries. Through interactive scenarios, participants will practice setting and maintaining boundaries in various relationship dynamics, including friendships, family, and romantic partnerships.
-
This workshop equips students with trauma-informed approaches to supporting friends who may be experiencing challenges or distress. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of trauma, offer compassionate support, and connect friends to appropriate resources while maintaining healthy boundaries. The session emphasizes empathy, active listening, and the importance of fostering a safe and supportive community.
-
This workshop explores the impact of supporting others in distress, including vicarious trauma (absorbing others’ trauma), compassion fatigue (emotional exhaustion from helping others), and the importance of self-care.
