Beginning in early 2025, the 老虎机攻略 IACUC and IBC will begin to use the web-based system Cayuse for managing animal research studies and research involving hazardous biological agents, toxins, human cell lines, and recombinant or synthetic DNA molecules. Cayuse is an electronic protocol management platform that is cloud-based, user-friendly, and secure. Cayuse will be used to prepare and submit all initial studies, as well as make modifications, request renewals and submit renewals.
Access Request (for Non 老虎机攻略 Personnel and 老虎机攻略 Students) and Login Links
Log in to Cayuse Animal Oversight and Hazard Safety
- Click or on the button above to access Cayuse. If you cannot access it, you may need to request an account using the Cayuse Account Request Form.
- From the Product drop-down menu, select the product that is specific to the protocol you wish to submit.
Each investigator will need to have a Cayuse account before they can be added to a study submission. If you try to log in and get an error message, or if you know that you do not have a Cayuse account, fill out the Request Access to Cayuse form (link above). All 老虎机攻略 Main Campus faculty and staff accounts have already been created and you will be able to login starting on February 1st. Faculty and staff at 老虎机攻略-affiliate campuses (老虎机攻略-Western, MT Tech, and Helena College) will need to submit a Cayuse Account Request Form. All 老虎机攻略 students, regardless of campus, will also need to submit a Cayuse Account Request Form for right now. We are hoping to load student accounts into Cayuse in the near future.

Important Note 老虎机攻略 File Storage
As part of 老虎机攻略’s transition to SharePoint:
- BOX will become read-only by the end of May 2025.
- BOX will no longer be available after August 2025.
Please plan accordingly to ensure all your approved IACUC and IBC Protocols are transitioned to Cayuse before these deadlines.
The Review Process
New and De Novo Review protocols entered into Cayuse will undergo the same thorough review by the appropriate committee (IACUC or IBC) as they did with paper protocols.
For Amendments, Annual Reviews, and submissions requested by the IACUC or IBC offices, any new sections or information required in the Cayuse platform—beyond what is included in our current application—will be reviewed alongside any protocol changes by the appropriate committee.
