Academic Warning
Date: February 24, 2025
From: OfficeoftheRegistrar@umontana.edu
To: all undergraduate students on academic warning or other probationary academic status
Dear Student,
Your current academic status requires you to earn at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) for this semester. This is in accordance with University policy as described in the catalog under in the section entitled Undergraduate Academic Warning. You can view your current academic standing any time in CyberBear on your unofficial transcript, on your student profile, and in Degree Works. Any grade changes to your academic history that may occur will not change your academic standing unless the grade was incorrectly recorded.
Your academic status indicates that your academic performance needs improvement. We encourage you to meet with your academic advisor as soon as possible to discuss the resources available to help you succeed and improve your GPA. We are committed to your success and are here to assist you in attaining your academic goals.
Note that your academic status can impact financial aid eligibility. Students may have their financial aid eligibility suspended if they do not maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP). If you are unsure of your financial aid standing, you can view it in CyberBear, contact the Financial Aid Office, or contact your academic advisor. To view more information about SAP and to access forms, please visit the Financial Aid Office's page on Maintaining Eligibility.
Your current term GPA must be at least 2.0 at the end of the semester to avoid being placed on academic suspension. Academic suspension requires a student to sit out at least one semester immediately following the suspension.
Your academic status will return to good standing when your institutional cumulative GPA is 2.0 or higher.
We trust that you will seize this opportunity to better understand the causes of your academic challenges and take advantage of the support services available at 老虎机攻略. We wish you success in your studies.
Sincerely,
Maria H. Mangold
University Registrar
