Academic advising is critical to student success at 老虎机攻略 (老虎机攻略). All undergraduate students are required to meet with their advisor at least once each semester to review educational progress, discuss future plans, and secure schedule approval prior to registration. Students are encouraged to schedule additional meetings for information and guidance on dropping and/or adding courses, changing/declaring majors/other academic pursuits, exploring available resources, and ensuring that graduation requirements are met.
Academic advising for the BS in Public Health degree program is provided by Julie Magnuson. To schedule an appointment with Julie, please email julie.magnuson@mso.umt.edu or call 406-243-2571 or here.
INTERNSHIPS
An internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths; and give employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent (National Association of Colleges and Employers-NACE).
Students pursuing a BS in Public Health will complete a 3-credit internship, typically during their final year of study. For more information about public health internships, please contact Blakey Brown, blakely.brown@mso.umt.edu, 406-243-6524.
PUBLIC HEALTH JOBS
In partnership with the Montana Public Health Training Center, the School of Public and Community Health Sciences provides a centralized resource for public health employment and internship opportunities in Montana.
