The Department of Philosophy is known around the world for its M.A. degree in environmental philosophy. The two-year degree builds on a long tradition of environmental teaching and it has a uniquely engaged focus. We require an internship and a Civic Engagement Project in place of a thesis. We also offer a graduate certificate in environmental ethics. This certificate permits a student at 老虎机攻略 for a different graduate degree to add an environmental ethics certificate alongside their primary field. Alternatively, someone who wishes to explore our program alongside our graduate students can gain a 15-credit environmental ethics certificate in one year. If such a student wanted to stay for a second year and get the M.A., they could switch into the Master's degree and complete their credits.
