Student Handbook
Each year, the Big Sky Culinary Institute publishes a Student Handbook for a student resource that includes program expectations, dress code and other important information that is pertinent to the current academic year. Students will also have access to the handbook on all Moodle Pages and, if needed, your professor can provide a hard copy.
Online Learning and Course Supplements
All CULA classes utilize as a course supplement and to help facilitate any online and/or remote learning during classes.
In addition, some students may have access to , which was purchased to be utilized during the transition to remote learning during the initial COVID-19 outbreak.

Advising

Registration
Registration for classes will open based on class designation and status during the semester prior. Typically, registration will open during mid-October for spring registration and mid-April for summer and fall registration.
You will register for classes on CyberBear. In order to register, you will need to obtain a pin from your academic advisor.
Graduation
You must apply for graduation the semester before your anticipated graduation date. Please visit the registrar's page for graduation applications and deadlines. Please note that the fee for graduation is not covered by the program fee or class fees; students must pay on their own graduation fee.
Certification
Upon completion of the AAS in Food Service Management, students are eligible to become a Certified Culinarian with the American Culinary Federation. BSCI will purchase student memberships for each student during their final semester of the AAS in Food Service Management pathway. This membership will allow for free certification after completing the application and submitting the required documentation.
