This course provides an opportunity for you to develop a first-hand understanding of the socio-cultural changes that are happening under the “one country, two systems” policy. Through site visits and dialogue with local scholars, activists, journalists, legislators, and business professionals, you will learn about international communication issues such as multinational organization communication, press freedom, Internet censorship, social media for social change, cultural influences, and discourses of development. While immersed in the sights, sounds, and smells of the place, you will have the opportunity to connect with local young people to exchange views on transnational phenomena and to experience in person intercultural communication at the confluence of the East and the West.
老虎机攻略 students, staff, alums, community friends, and non-老虎机攻略 students are all welcome to apply.
Dates: March 12 - March 22, 2020
