The MIS Department encourages students to follow four course tracks that will help them specialize in a specific area of Management Information Systems. These tracks are unofficial, and a student does not need to choose a track in order to graduate with a degree in MIS. These tracks, however, prepare students for careers in particular areas of MIS. Be sure to work with your adviser to choose appropriate electives from both inside and outside COB.
Consulting Track
Consultants are experienced individuals who are trained to analyze and advise a client in order to help the client make the best possible choices. New graduates can be hired into these positions and trained as much as an apprentice is trained.
