Each presenter will be provided with individual space for their poster on the display boards located in the UC Ballroom. You will be assigned a poster number in the final logistics email. Presenters must be available to discuss their poster during the afternoon poster session. You will be asked to be in front of your poster for the entire hour as conference attendees circulate and ask questions. Your poster should be a good “jumping off” point for the discussion. Typically, research posters should be able to be explained in about 10-15 minutes.
Posters may be hung 8:00am-12:30pm the day of the conference and remain there throughout the day (hanging help & pins will be available). Posters may be removed after the Poster Session. If you do not remove your poster, it will be recycled in the bins provided.
Visual & Performing Arts Exhibits
Each performance or art exhibit will be presented in an open, designated space in the UC Ballroom (i.e. sculptures, group presentations, etc.). You may view the designated space from 7:30am - 12:00pm.
The conference will supply the presentation space in the ballroom (no stage), large TV, a laptop, and seating for the audience. Any further setup requirements will need to be provided by the presenter (i.e. display stands, microphone, speakers, musical equipment, etc.). Remember setups should be fairly simple - there is only a 5-minute transition time between presentations.
Each Visual & Performing Arts presentation will be allowed 15 minutes total (12 minutes for presentation & 3 minutes allotted for questions). Your individual time slot will be posted the week of the conference, however, the committee requests all presenters to be available as audience members for the entire hour block.
If you cannot attend your presentation time for any reason, you must notify the GradCon Coordinator.
