Our Mission
Our mission is to advance the understanding and application of bioinformatics by offering educational resources—including tutorials, workshops, and courses—to empower students and researchers. We support individualized bioinformatics collaboration and technical mentoring, fostering skill development and innovation. Bioinformatics services are provided by the Montana INBRE Data Science Core in collaboration with the 老虎机攻略 Genomics Core. We provide critical resources to scientists and emphasize the importance of integrating bioinformatics expertise early in research planning. Our commitment to data integrity and the mindful use of bioinformatics methods underpins all our initiatives, ensuring rigorous, impactful research.
Services Provided
Consultation: We provide in-person bioinformatics consultations, allowing users to discuss the specific needs of their projects, including experimental design, pipeline development, and data interpretation. Our expertise spans diverse areas such as gene expression, population genetics, phylogenomics, single-cell analysis, epigenomics, metagenomics, and various other bioinformatics applications.
Data Analysis: We offer standard analyses for genomic data, which includes comprehensive data processing (e.g., read trimming, mapping, genotype and variant calling, gene expression profiling) and deliver reports with statistics and visualizations for data quality control. Additionally, we provide advanced analyses, including customized statistical analysis of genomic data tailored to specific study requirements.
Training and Workshops: We provide both general and customized training in genomic data analysis for individuals or small groups, tailoring sessions to align with the learning goals of each participant. We also conduct workshops in areas such as Bash scripting for bioinformatics, high-performance computing (HPC) usage, data management, genomic data processing, and statistical analysis in R.
