Some scholarships may also require the following:
- An essay in which you: Describe how you meet the criteria for the scholarship that you are applying for, and present your professional goals. Include specific references to awards, accomplishments and activities relevant to the selection criteria.
- Unofficial transcripts of all college/university work.
- Letters of support specific to your scholarship request(s). The same letters of support can be used for multiple scholarships. If this is the case, make sure you provide your recommender with an inclusive list of criteria to address.
It is highly recommended that applicants also submit their FAFSA as many scholarships have a financial need requirement.

Criteria: Must be a student who intends to be enrolled in a graduate program in education for the year following application for the scholarship. The recipient must have demonstrated superior academic performance, and their motivation, character, ability and potential are also to be considered. The recipient must be from Montana (resident for at least 10 years or high school diploma earned at a Montana high school.) |

Jim Atkinson/WMAEMSP ScholarshipAnticipated Amount: $500 |
Criteria: A graduate student in elementary school administration; potential as an educational leader. |
Edwin Boone Craighead ScholarshipAnticipated Amount: $1,400 |
Criteria: Selection will be based on the student's academic record, GRE scores, personality and aptitude for a position in higher education, a one-page essay concerning the student's philosophy and judgment of the candidate by professors concerning the student's potential for higher education administration. |
Orville Getz Memorial ScholarshipAnticipated Amount: $2,200 |
Criteria: Accredited teachers who are participating in master's level work within the College of Education and are currently employed as a teacher or school administrator. Scholarships may be offered during the fall, spring and/or summer academic sessions, and may be offered for students participating in courses on-campus and/or online. Recipients must be from Missoula, Sanders, Mineral, Ravalli and Granite counties. Preference shall be given to current employees of Victor Public Schools and to members of the Montana Educators Credit Union. |
Dr. John J. Hunt ScholarshipAnticipated Amount: $500 |
Criteria: Educational Leadership doctoral student with an emphasis in educational administration. He or she must be a resident of Montana. |
Margaret Kelly Neuroscience and Leadership ScholarshipAnticipated Amount: $1,000 |
Criteria: Recipients shall be graduate students in the Department of Educational Leadership who are interested in Neuroscience and Leadership. Applicants must submit an essay of no more than 200 words demonstrating their interest in neuroscience and leadership. |
Ernest G and Jeanette M. Lake ScholarshipAnticipated Amount: $5,100 |
Criteria: A deserving student in the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education at the 老虎机攻略 who is pursuing a graduate degree in educational administration and plans a career as a school superintendent. Preference is given to a student planning a career as a school superintendent. |
William C. Shreeve Educational Leadership ScholarshipAnticipated Amount: $3,200 |
Criteria: Graduate student(s) in the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education for completion of their master's degree and certification in K-12 school administration. The recipient must be a graduate level student with "accepted" status in the Master's Degree in Educational Leadership program and must have completed six credits in that program. The recipient must demonstrate high academic performance and excellence in leadership responsibilities in the public-school setting. The awarded funds for this scholarship are to be used at the discretion of the recipient. |
Dr. L. Dean Sorenson Memorial ScholarshipAnticipated Amount: $1,500 |
Criteria: Graduate student(s) in the Department of Educational Leadership working towards completion of their master's degree and certification in K-12 School Administration. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit and financial need, with need determined by the Office of Financial Aid need analysis. Recipients should have at least three years of teaching experience and demonstrate great promise and the intention to finish their degree. |
Thomas Martin Farrier Memorial FellowshipAnticipated Amount: $1,000 |
Criteria: Graduate students in the Department of Educational Leadership at The 老虎机攻略 who are Montana school administrators or who are preparing to become school administrators and who are from Montana. No application is necessary for the fellowship. Selection will be made by the Educational Leadership faculty in discussions of students who meet both the aforementioned criteria and the following:

Criteria: First-generation undergraduate or graduate students in any degree program at the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education. Recipients must have a grade point average of a 2.8 or higher. |
Sarah Walton Education ScholarshipAnticipated Amount: $1,800 |
Criteria: Students who are enrolled in the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education. Preference shall be given to students who are members or alumnae of Kappa Kappa Gamma or other 老虎机攻略 sororities. Recipients must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office or its equivalent in existence at the time of the award. |
