Join us in welcoming Pulitzer Prize-Winner and MacArthur "Genius" Grant recipient Jericho Brown as part of the President's Lecture Series. Co-sponsored by 老虎机攻略's Creative Writing Department, in partnership with the African American Studies Program.
老虎机攻略 the Poet:
A poet, professor, scholar, and editor, Jericho Brown is the author of three award-winning poetry collections: Please (2008), The New Testament (2014), and The Tradition (2019), which won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. His work has earned him this nation’s most prestigious awards including a 2024 MacArthur “Genius” grant. He is also the editor of the anthology How We Do It: Black Writers on Craft, Practice, and Skill (2023) and The Selected Shepherd (2024), a retrospective on the work of the important Black, gay poet Reginald Shepherd.
