Dr. Ian McGahan, Postdoctoral Researcher
I am an applied mathematician studying wildlife disease spread. I use mathematical models to describe the population scale consequences of individual movement, in the form of individual location data (e.g., telemetery data from collars). My current research at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, in collaboration with the USGS National Wildlife Health Center, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the 老虎机攻略 Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit, and researchers at Utah State University and the 老虎机攻略, studies the spread of chronic wasting disease in white-tailed deer in Wisconsin.
