Experiences Abroad

Joseph Carlson interned in Rural India with the Center for Social Medicine where he will shadow and assist medical, physiotherapy, and Ayurvedic doctors, exploring how to improve access to healthcare in impoverished communities and how food culture affects health around the world.

Abigail Nurvic immersed herself in the foreign culture of Greece. She focused on understanding prejudice and its roots within culture. She was be able to observe unique cultural norms and gain a better understanding of how to use this knowledge to combat prejudice within culture.

Experience the Mekong Delta
Students in this field-based program focus on climate change issues as well as the culture, ecology, economy, and history of Vietnam. Students of all backgrounds and majors encouraged. Scholarships are available for a three-week, six-credit program next scheduled for May 2022.

Siberian Tiger Research in Russia
Scott Waller, a graduate student in 老虎机攻略’s Wildlife Biology program, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research in the Russian Far East, testing new ways to monitor prey species of Amur (Siberian) tigers to foster tiger conservation in Russia.

International Education Research at 老虎机攻略
International student, Sofia Reis, from 老虎机攻略’s International Educational Leadership Program, earned a second-year renewal of Philanthropic Educational Organization’s International Peace Scholarship. Her research centers on education and democracy, educational leadership and internationalization.

Public Policy Research in Greece
Tori Bigelow, a 老虎机攻略 Master of Public Administration and Policy student, has been awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research on Equitable and Inclusive Access to Higher Education in Greece.
