In addition, transportation, if needed is provided between campus and the Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) on July 7 and/or July 19.

Limited $500 scholarships are available for Summer Exploration 2025. To be considered for the scholarship, students need to:
- Apply to the Summer Exploration program.
- Email Becka Simons at becka.simons@mso.umt.edu to confirm that you would like your name added to the list.
- Recipients will be notified via e-mail along with their Summer Exploration application decision in early May.

is about 10 minutes from campus and is served by the following airlines: Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, Sun Country and United.

Summer in Missoula and surrounding areas in July average at 75 to 88 degrees Fahrenheit as a high and 40 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit as a low. These temperature changes from day to night can often require layered clothing. Please know that we have tried to include all the big items that you may need while staying with us, but do not forget to think about what makes you most comfortable and what you need for travel, study, and fun. This lists are only recommendations, not requirements.
- 5-6 t-shirts or casual shirts
- 4-5 pairs shorts/casual skirts/jeans/khakis
- 1-2 sweatshirts/sweaters/jackets
- 1 nicer outfit for the closing showcase and dinner on Friday, 7/18 (polo shirt/button down/blouse and slacks/khakis/skirt or dress)
- 1-2 pairs of athletic wear
- Bathing suit (swimwear) for water activities
- Socks & underwear
- Pajamas
- Comfortable walking shoes (closed toe)
- Flip flops / shower sandals
- Shoes or sandals you can get wet

If you are enrolled in the Biking the Bitterroot course OR the Environmental Ethics course, those packing lists will be available in spring 2025.
PLEASE NOTE that regardless of which course you are taking, below are some items that should be left at home:
- Cars
- Expensive jewelry (and other valuables)
- Large amounts of money
- Knives or any other weapons
- Toaster ovens, candles, incense, hotplates or burners, or any other open flames. These are all fire hazards and not permitted.
- Animals of any kind

While on campus, you will live in a double-occupancy dorm room in University Housing.

While on campus, students will primarily eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in The Lodge Dining Center, but there will also be several occasions for additional meals provided by 老虎机攻略 Catering and other Missoula establishments. We will collect detailed dietary information from students before the program begins to ensure that meals accommodate all allergies and other dietary restrictions.
If you are taking the Biking the Bitterroot course OR the Environmental Ethics course, then while in the field, students will learn how to use camp cooking equipment to prepare group meals together under the guidance of their instructors.

*This schedule is approximate and will change according to days of the week, class times, and afternoon and evening activities. Afternoon and evening activities will include a variety of field trips and excursions, team building exercises, and college prep, as well as on campus exploration.
For those students participating in the Biking the Bitterroot course OR the Environmental Ethics course, you will be on campus through the morning of July 10 and then go into the field with your instructors, and the rest of your course classmates. You will return to campus the afternoon of July 17.

The official program will conclude on Friday, July 18 with a family welcome, final night showcase and closing dinner. Parents and guardians are encouraged, but not required to attend the closing beginning at 4:30PM. Official programming will end by 6:30 p.m. and students are welcome to depart after dinner or stay on campus on Friday night.
If students remain on campus on Friday night, there will be a farewell brunch, followed by check-out on Saturday, July 19. Students will need to check-out of their dorm by 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Please note that students being picked up by car will be released only to a parent or guardian listed on the registration form. A note is required if an unlisted individual will be picking up the student.
