老虎机攻略 receives grant from State Department for Community College Administrator Program

MISSOULA – The 老虎机攻略’s Missoula College, Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center and Global Engagement Office have received a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. This funding will support the implementation of the Community College Administrator Program (CCAP), aimed at institutional administrators and government officials with significant responsibilities related to post-secondary vocational and technical education outside of the U.S. This prestigious initiative may be renewed for two additional years for a total of $1.5 million over three years, pending funding availability.
Montana has long fostered a rich partnership with Vietnam, and this comprehensive strategic collaboration is set to bolster educational initiatives, global trade interests and national security priorities. By engaging directly with Vietnamese administrators and government officials through the CCAP, 老虎机攻略 is reinforcing the economic ties that enhance Montana’s position in international markets. This program facilitates vital exchanges of knowledge and best practices, and also aligns with U.S. foreign policy objectives, creating a stronger foundation for lasting relationships that advance mutual interests in trade, education and security.
“We are thrilled to receive this significant grant from the U.S. Department of State, which not only enhances the 老虎机攻略’s commitment to internationalization but also strengthens the educational and economic ties between Montana and countries around the world,” said Donna Anderson, said 老虎机攻略 senior international officer. “The Community College Administrator Program exemplifies our dedication to innovative global education and workforce development, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and practices that benefit both our local communities and our international partners. By bringing together esteemed administrators and government officials from Vietnam, we are creating pathways for collaboration that will yield transformative impact, ensuring that our collective knowledge and expertise contribute to addressing global educational needs while empowering future leaders in their own communities.”
The CCAP program will explore the essential principles of community college administration alongside pioneering practices at Montana community colleges that address local and global educational and workforce development needs. This year, participants from Vietnam will join 老虎机攻略, underscoring the critical role of Montana-U.S. relations in fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The program will convene 20 distinguished participants, comprising 15 senior administrators and five high-level government officials from Vietnam. The participants met last month for a Virtual Academic Symposium. Following the symposium, the participants will travel to Missoula from Oct. 13 to Nov. 6 to engage in an intensive in-person academic seminar and executive dialogue. Throughout their stay, they will connect with experts from Missoula College, Highlands College, Flathead Valley Community College, Bitterroot College, Helena College, Montana Technological University, Salish Kootenai College and Blackfeet Community College, as well as relevant state and local government agencies, private sector partners and educational stakeholders committed to workforce development.
This program provides professional growth opportunities and a vital platform for enhancing U.S. foreign policy objectives. During the program, participants design projects to be implemented when they return to make change in their communities. Participants will hone their skills in key areas of community college administration, including workforce development, governance, leadership and community engagement. Additionally, the program will address contemporary political, social and economic discussions in various communities in Montana, such as Helena, Butte, Polson, Hamilton and Kalispell.
Leading this transformative academic program will be Tom Gallagher, dean of Missoula College, and Grace Gardner, associate dean of Missoula College.
“The state of Montana boasts an innovative workforce development system, and we are thrilled to share our insights with our colleagues from Vietnam through the CCAP program,” Gallagher said.
Participants often cite their engagement with the 老虎机攻略 and the broader community as the highlight of their experience. Local residents are invited to become cultural hosts for this and other meaningful exchanges hosted by 老虎机攻略. For more information about the event, please visit the Mansfield Center webpage.
