Personal Summary
I am a Chemical Engineer with a BS from Montana State. As a licensed professional engineer, I have a consulting business "Broad-Based Consulting" and have worked in Montana and the Northwest industrial sector for over 30 years. Currently I work full time assisting 18 regional electric Utilities (like Missoula Electric Coop) with energy conservation projects with their Industrial customers. This is a Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) program and it is a great job.
My wife, Blossom, operates "Blossom's Bed and Breakfast" in the lower Rattlesnake although we are currently shut down because of Covid 19. For free time, I sail on Flathead Lake in an Erickson 25’ and have a USCG 50 ton master’s license. In the winter, it is time to ski or go south!
I have been teaching here at the Missoula College in some manner since 2004 and was the Program Director. Past classes include power systems technology, electronic instrumentation, automatic controls, introduction to engineering, and graphic communications, AutoCAD, and Excel. I have also taught numerous classes in the professional environment like teamwork, facilitation skills, problem solving, and a host of others. A learning environment is what I’m after and completely believe that "learning has no limits".
I have four adult children of which the youngest graduated from the Missoula College. (She never signed up for any of my classes!)
