Personal Summary
Elizabeth leads communications and marketing strategy in support of the W.A. Franke College of Forestry & Conservation’s mission to advance research and education that fosters sustainability and empowers a holistic understanding of social-ecological systems.
She works closely with faculty and 老虎机攻略 Marketing and Communications to elevate the work and stories of students, faculty and alumni. She utilizes a multi-channel marketing strategy, creating and managing content for the College’s various communications channels and building relationships with local and national media.
Elizabeth’s expertise is derived from over a decade of experience helping organizations and institutions tell their stories and make an impact. She was a reporter in Montana, with stints at the Missoulian, the Flathead Beacon and the Great Falls Tribune prior to managing communications and marketing for YWCA Missoula.
Elizabeth later moved to North Carolina, where she served as a program director and marketing manager at her beloved childhood summer camp before pioneering the inaugural director of communications position at Brevard College. She continued in higher ed as a content strategist for University Communications at UNC Greensboro and was quickly promoted to managing communications and PR efforts for the University’s larger priority projects. She was then tapped to originate the first communications specialist position in the School of Health & Human Sciences at UNCG. Most recently, she led communications for the Maureen & Mike Mansfield Center at 老虎机攻略.
Elizabeth grew up in South Carolina and received her undergraduate degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of South Carolina. She completed her master’s degree in journalism at the 老虎机攻略 School of Journalism, concentrating on environmental science and natural resources. Her master’s project, a series of investigative feature stories about the 1975 blowout of the Mike Horse Dam, was published in the Great Falls Tribune.
She is excited to join the amazing faculty, staff and students in the College of Forestry & Conservation and is so proud to be a Griz once again!
